What do we do if we have a family crisis arise and can't homeschool for a while?

It is helpful to start the school year early to allow for times like this. Remember that your children can learn much from you as they watch you deal with a crisis. These are life skills that cannot be taught in a classroom. If you find that you don't need to take off those extra days, you will enjoy the advantage of finishing before everyone else. If your school year ends up being extended into the summer that is okay too.
